TãLFIN — Terms of Service
Last updated: [PUBLISH DATE]
1. Who these terms are with
TãLFIN is operated by [YOUR FULL LEGAL NAME], a sole proprietor registered in Poland, [REGISTERED ADDRESS], NIP [NIP NUMBER] (“we”, “us”). These Terms apply to:
- the free public tools at
talfin.app/tools/*(e.g. mortgage/overpayment calculators), usable without an account, and - the TãLFIN app at
my.talfin.app, which requires an account.
Public tools are covered only by §9 (Public Tools) and the general disclaimers in §10 — no account, no acceptance step, just use of the site. By creating an account, you affirmatively agree to the rest of these Terms and our Privacy Policy — this is recorded as a timestamped acceptance at signup, not just a footer link, so it holds up as a real agreement rather than terms you could plausibly say you never saw.
2. What the service is
TãLFIN is a personal and business finance tracker: manual account/transaction tracking, balance check-ins, spend/income analytics, net-worth and investment-growth forecasting, and optional business-profile tracking with (in future) shared multi-user access. Some features (e.g. PDF data extraction) use third-party AI processing — see the Privacy Policy for details. Comparison/benchmark features (e.g. how your spending compares to others in a similar income bracket), if offered, are built from aggregated, anonymized data pooled across users — see Privacy Policy §2–3 for how that works.
3. Not financial, tax, or legal advice
TãLFIN shows you calculations based on the numbers you enter. It does not know your full financial situation, is not personalized advice, and is not a substitute for a licensed financial advisor, accountant, or tax professional. Forecasts, projections, and the public calculators are estimates only, built on your inputs and general assumptions — not on your country’s current tax law — and may be wrong. Any peer/benchmark comparisons (e.g. “you spend less than others in your bracket”) are statistical approximations from aggregated, self-reported data — not verified, not tied to your specific tax situation, and not tax advice. Decisions you make based on TãLFIN are your own.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use an account. If you’re using a business profile on behalf of an organization, you confirm you’re authorized to bind that organization to these Terms.
5. Your account
- Keep your credentials confidential; you’re responsible for activity under your account.
- Provide accurate information; a business profile’s identity should reflect a real business you operate or work for.
- Tell us promptly (contact@talfin.app) if you suspect unauthorized access.
6. Business profiles and shared access
A business profile may, in future, be accessible to more than one person at the account owner’s invitation. Anyone with access to a shared profile can see the financial data stored in it — the account owner is responsible for who they grant access to.
7. Subscriptions and billing
TãLFIN offers a free tier and paid tier(s) (e.g. “Personal Plus”, “Business”). [PRICING — fill in once committed.] Paid subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel anytime in-app, effective at the end of the current billing period. [REFUND POLICY — e.g. pro-rated / no refund for partial periods — decide before launch.] Prices may change with notice before your next renewal.
8. Acceptable use
Don’t: use the service for unlawful purposes; attempt to access another user’s data outside what you’re explicitly granted; reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the service; upload documents you don’t have the right to share; resell or white-label the service without our written permission.
9. Public tools (no account)
The calculators and tools at talfin.app/tools/* are provided free, “as is”, for general
informational purposes. We don’t store an identity tied to your inputs. We may prompt you to
save your scenario or continue in the TãLFIN app — doing so is optional and, if you proceed,
brings you into the account terms above.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or accuracy of any calculation. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for financial decisions made using the service. Nothing in these Terms limits any statutory rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived under Polish or EU law — where these Terms conflict with a mandatory consumer-protection rule, the mandatory rule controls.
11. Your data
You own the financial data you enter. We process it as described in the Privacy Policy and don’t claim any ownership over it. You can export or delete it at any time (see Privacy Policy §7–8). The TãLFIN name, branding, and underlying software are ours.
12. Termination
You can delete your account at any time (Privacy Policy §7 governs the deletion timeline). We may suspend or terminate an account for violation of §8 (Acceptable Use), with notice where practicable.
13. Changes to these terms
We’ll update the “Last updated” date and, for material changes affecting active account holders, notify by email or in-app notice before the change takes effect. For public tools (no account), the current version at the time of use applies.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by Polish law. Any dispute not resolved informally will be brought before the competent Polish courts, [SPECIFIC VENUE if desired]. If you’re an EU consumer, you retain the right to use your local consumer-dispute resolution mechanisms (e.g. the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform) regardless of this clause.
